Dear Dr. Tillich:

Your secretary telephoned me yesterday to say that you had not received payment for your review of Santayana's „The Idea of Christ in the Gospels.“1

Your review appeared in our issue of October 12, and we have in our office your cancelled check for it. The check amounted to 15.50$, and it has on it the stamp of the Union Theological Seminary besides your personal endorsement.

I hope that this information will straighten out your accounts.
