Gentlemen:

I have received the enclosed letter (translated by myself) from the niece of Prof. Rudolf Otto, Miss Gretel Ottmer, 16 Kaiser St. München, 13 b, Germany. The letter is selfexplanatory [sic!] . I would be very grateful to you if you would either answer me or directly Miss Ottmer about the questions indicated in her letter.

I was a collegue [sic!] of Prof. Otto in Marburg, Germany, for two years.

TRANSLATION

... Would you be able to approach McMillan, 60 Fifth Avenue, New York City? They have published Rudolf Otto's EASTERN AND WESTERN MYSTICISM. As my mother passed away in 1942 I am the only member of the family alive. I know that we are not permitted to handle any business affairs, but I would like to know whether there are any chances for years to come. The book is out of print over here and we do not know when a new print will be possible. I feel that Dr. Otto's. work should be made available to theologians.
