| FRIENDS CONFERENCE ON NATURE AND LAWS
OF OUR SPIRITUAL LIFE
ASSOCIATED WITH THE
AMERICAN FRIENDS FELLOWSHIP COUNCIL20 South 12th Street

April 9/46

Dear Dr. Tillich (Details anzeigen),

I have just received the enclosed letter from a member of committee of above conference, & as I understand it was through you that Dr. Elkisch (Details anzeigen) entered the N. Y. psych group, I am taking the liberty of asking you for any pertinent information you may have to give us about her. What is her training & background? I| was told at first that she a Jungian analyst, & then again that she was not. As you know, we remain somehow very anonymous to each other in that psych. group, & one has to glean information about one's fellow-members in roundabout ways. (It is one of the things I have a real concern to do something about incidentally, for I can see it is hampering our real effectiveness).

How would Dr. Elkisch (Details anzeigen) be as a discussion leader in a conference group, where most people know something of psychology, but not too much?|

If you could let me have the main facts as soon as possible I should be grateful, & perhaps I could see you {next} time I am in New York (Details anzeigen) for further elucidation. Walter (Details anzeigen) has just got home, & we shall both be in N. Y. (Details anzeigen) I think the last weekend of this month, as the psych. group meets on the 26th (Friday) & Walter (Details anzeigen) has a meetings from the 28th on. You will be glad to hear that he was able to visit his parents & sister| in Austria (Details anzeigen) before coming home – he spent 9 days in travel for 24 hours there!

Please give my kindest regards to Mrs. Tillich (Details anzeigen). I wish she & you would attend the group again – it has come much more alive this winter. In fact so much dynamite has been touched that it has looked as if the group might evaporate in smoke occasionally – but we have re-crystallized each time so far!
