Dear Prof. Tillich:

Some time ago I got through our mutual friend Annie Schindler, who is still in London, a copy of a letter of her brother in Berlin, who gives a very vivid and moving report about the last 4 years and what they have gone through, And there is hardly any experience they have not gone through! I would like to send you this letter,1 not only because I think you might be personally interested, but because I know that you are the person, who could take an active interest and could do or suggest something to help those poor starving people.

I could not find your address in the telephone Directory, therefore I try to get in touch with you in this way and would be abliged if you would send me your address to which I will then forward the letter.
