Dear Paulus (Details anzeigen),

This is just to thank you wholeheartedly for your prompt and exhaustive answer to our question on the Concept of Truth. Your letter (Details anzeigen) arrived during Maidon (Details anzeigen)'s and my trip to the Oregon (Details anzeigen) forrests, and I would have sent you greetings without delay had I remembered your address, so please take my thanks now which are somewhat belated but not less warm.

Right now Teddie (Details anzeigen) and I will be able to follow your various suggestions and look up the passages you indicated. We hope that there will be an occasion when we can reciprocate -- but this hope is probably vain: you know too much.

Our trip was beautiful. We drove without a definite aim, stayed wherever it pleased us and enjoyed the life in little villages. On our return trip I had to remain in San Francisco (Details anzeigen) somewhat longer than foreseen. At this moment Herbert Marcuse (Details anzeigen) is here. As you probably know, he has travelled in Germany (Details anzeigen) for quite some time and his reports are most interesting. We are discussing some of the most predominant problems of these days.

Has Hannah (Details anzeigen) returned? Kindly give her our love and take good care of yourself.

Most affectionately,
