My dear Professor Tillich:

I am afraid it is quite impossible for us to drop the review of Siegfried's book entirely. When publishers send us books for review, and expensive books at that, they naturally expect a review to be forthcoming. And when we accept a book we obligate ourselves to print a review of it. We are entirely dependent upon the good will of publishers for books, otherwise it would be impossible for us to have a Book Review section at all. It is a matter of honor with us to make good to the publishers in this matter, and we rely on the people who accept books for review to co-operate with us. I regret to note that this is the third book which we have sent to you for which we have received no review. Won't you please make an effort to send us a review of this book before August fifteenth?
