Lectures in General Education Tuesday, Thursday, (Saturday) 11-12 a.m. Semester I Religion, the Arts and the Sciences The relation of religion to the arts and sciences in general, with special reference to their contemporary situation. Semester II Religion and Society The relation of religion to the social, legal, educational and political problems, including the present historical situation. Note: Although much of this is the same material covered in the Religion and Culture course offered in 1955-56 as Humanities 127, Professor Tillich plans to offer these as two completely independent half courses and suggests that probably two entirely different course numbers be used.
