[597] tendency in Prussian militarism to glorify war, not to see that it is in itself an expression of the a possession of mankind as a whole, but to call it a glorious thing in itself. Now of course every evil can produce virtues which otherwise never would come into existence, as diseases often do to people. But a disease is a disease even if has a wholesome effect on a special person. And so, war is EVIL, even if it produces [something] which can be considered as good. Now let’s look at the second type, the legalistic. It says: ''If this is true, if the bimplies the universal peace, because everything is rooted in the same eternal ground, then let’s try to do that, and everybody MUST be a pacifist, and everybody must REFUSE to go to war.''
